Sunrise

One of the best loved subject of any photographer has to be sunrise or sunset. I am no exception. Have taken countless pics of dusk or dawn, and will continue to shoot when I have a chance. I simply love that orange ball at the horizon, creating various colours of orange in the sky. The best would be being able to actually see that orange ball in totality.

This is my latest series of sunrise taken somewhere out in the Malacca Straits from my cabin onboard the Super Star Virgo. Enjoy.

EAS LJ 29 Nov

To all the Broadrick EAS.

For a Learning Journey to be successful, participants must observe and reflect on what they see. Instead of being engrossed in conversations with one another (which is not bad too), one could also listen to the commentaries provided during the tour to pick up snippets about Singapore. The other objective is to get to know each other better. Try to speak to someone you have not got a chance to talk much to. I tried to do just that, and certainly got to know some of the EAS better.

The Duck and Hippo Tour is a very great business idea. It allow both local and tourist alike to know more about Singapore in a free and easy way. You hop on and off as you like, which I though is a great business formula. They provided great commentary along the route, and it is real interesting to see the city from another perspective (high up and open air). And given the likely wet weather this period, they had upfront offered a 2-day pass for the price of 1-day. That way, no one goes off disappointed. Not many would turn up the next day, and in any case, they are not running at full capacity, so no issue.

We changed plan a few times along the way, but that is fine. I think that we should react to situation on the ground, rather than to stick rigidly to the plan. In any case, we got more than we bargain. The trip to Marina Bay Sands allowed some of us to see our casino for the first time. The slightly extended stay at Clarke Quay allowed us to reflect how a deserted area of godowns became of the hotspots in the local clubbing scene.

Here are some of the photos that I have taken. Please feel free to download. Please also share your views or reflection from this trip.

Thank You.

Broadrick Activities

Here are some pics that I have taken recently, during the lunch treat by Mr Phua and the MOE D&D. Feel free to download. Sorry, lazy to lug again the DSLR, hence not very decent shots with the compact camera.
