EAS Cohesion Event

Glad that we could play a part to organise the cohesion event this time around.  For the first part, the intent was for everyone to walk around the beautiful park, enjoy some fresh air and sunshine, as well as appreciate the various local fruit trees.
NParks spend a lot of money to build many beautiful parks.  We should make use of such facilities and develop a healthy lifestyle.  Sadly, many of us are leading a sedentary lifestyle and do not make use of these great parks.  It may be tough during weekdays due to work demands, but at least we should try to walk or jog during the weekends.
Due to urban lifestyle, a lot of us cannot tell the different types of local fruit trees apart.  Again NParks had done a great job in creating a garden of various fruit trees to allow us to see, feel and learn.
By going about the park in small groups, we hope that the three or four of you have time to communicate and understand each other better.  As colleagues, it is important for us to understand each other better to make our work smoother.
The second activity of kite-flying came to our mind when we did a recce, as it was quite windy.  We also noted that the park was open, without tall trees and hence suitable for kite-flying.  Unfortunately, while we had great sunshine, the wind was quite absent.... nothing we could do about that.  Even so, I think everyone had a feel of kite-flying.  Not to worry.  I am sure we will have more opportunities to get the kites back in the sky soon.  And as Alan had shared, the intent behind kite-flying is also about "when to pull" and "when to let go".  This concept can be applied in many areas in our work.

Here are the photos taken for sharing.
